‘Muyiwa Osifuye was born in Lagos, on the 6th of January 1960.
He attended Igbobi College and Kings College, both in Lagos.
Osifuye graduated as an Optometrist in 1984 from the University of Benin and
had an MBA from the University of Lagos in 1990, both in Nigeria.
He was in private eye-care practice for years.
Out of interest in photography as a youth and stumbling on a Photo Club exhibition on campus
in his undergraduate years at UNIBEN, he took note of the experience.
This experience was brushed up even during his eye-care practice,
as he pursued formal studies in photography from 1999.
In 2002, he received the diploma from the New York Institute of Photography, USA.
He handled commercial jobs, but most essentially editorial
including Aerial photography for the multinational oil giant, Chevron.
Osifuye also delved into editorial and documentary assignments for his personal archives and
for those specially commissioned for reputable global art events.
However, he left the photography scene about 2008 and became an observer.
He pursued other varied interests that include other entrepreneurial pursuits,
bits of painting at his leisure.
Some of his photographs and paintings are held in private collections worldwide.
Presently he has opened his historical archive of exhibited and unseen works, of over 20 years.
He engages collectors in privacy who desire tangible artifact and visual trust in vintage and limited editions
into the future.
